Howdy! My name is Barrett McDaniel, and I’m the proud owner of Crossover Co. I’m a junior in high school from Midland, Texas, with a passion for stock showing and livestock judging. Starting my own business has been a dream of mine since I was little, though I never knew when or how it would happen. 

One Sunday, I was scrolling through TikTok and saw a video about someone who’d launched a hoodie brand. That’s when it hit me: I could create a clothing brand centered around livestock. I spent the entire day brainstorming names and slogans, knowing it had to be something unique.  

The very next morning, I came across a religious TikTok video with a message that resonated deeply with me: “When you fall in love with the process of getting 1% better every day, your life is going to change. You’re not focused on outcomes or destinations but on making the most of each day.” I knew I’d found my slogan: “1% Better Every Day.” This message aligns with how I approach livestock. Every day, I work with my pigs and steers, making small improvements so that when show season arrives, all that’s left is for the judges to decide.

The same applies to my faith; every prayer and effort brings me one step closer to God, trusting that He’s with me through every challenge.  With my vision clear, I came up with a name: Cross Livestock Company. But I wanted something that rolled off the tongue better. That’s when I found Crossover Co. The name was perfect because “Crossover” symbolizes both the different types of livestock I work with and the idea of bringing God into every part of life.

Mission Statement: Crossover Co. is dedicated to providing high-quality, faith-inspired apparel for the livestock community. Our mission is to motivate individuals to strive for daily growth, live with purpose, and carry their values proudly—both in the ring and in everyday life. Through our brand, we celebrate the journey of hard work, resilience, and faith, supporting those who seek to be 1% better each day.
